In one study, a control group was given non-fat yogurt. Compared to the other group, the non-fat yogurt group lost nearly 25% more weight. What's great is that after three months of consuming non-fat yogurt, the yogurt eaters lost about 60% more fat while still retaining muscle mass. The main reason for this, researchers said, is the high bio-assimilable level of calcium that's in yogurt. You can also find yogurt that is labeled as being probiotic. This means probiotic bacteria, the good guys, have been added to the yogurt.

Sweet potatoes are considered superfoods and you can eat them if you'd like to lose weight. Between regular potatoes and sweet potatoes, the latter are better to eat. Baked regular potatoes usually have no taste in them.

Dark berries and vegetables are excellent food choices. While these may seem like strangely different foods, their colorful natures are an indication of the rich array of nutrients contained. In these foods, the colors result from the presence of phenols, carotenoids, and other antioxidant related compounds. You may not associate antioxidants with losing weight, but they can help you in a roundabout way. For example, antioxidants are crucial for the control of bacterial balance in your gut. There are many products on the market designed to boost your metabolism but they're artificial. If your system is free of harmful bacteria that product toxic wastes, then this one thing will boost your metabolism like you won't believe.

If you are looking for a diet in which to incorporate superfoods so you can lose weight, consider the Paleo diet. There are others but this one is significant due to the premise on which it is based. Just imagine our ancestors from thousands of years ago subsisting mostly on a plant-based diet. You can lose weight using the same approach by consuming plant superfoods.
